We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering research, with interest in prototyping, modeling & simulation, special studies, mission analysis, concept development, and space systems engineering.
This position is hybrid with on-site locations in El Segundo, CA and Albuquerque, NM. Fully remote work is also an option if the candidate can travel monthly. This position will involve working in a collaborative team consisting of both government and contractor members, under the guidance and direction of government program managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prototyping and Modeling:
- Utilize advanced prototyping and modeling techniques to support military research initiatives.
- Research and Simulation:
- Perform critical literature searches and apply the researched concepts across disciplines.
- Mission Analysis and Concept Development:
- Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to perform mission analysis and contribute to the development of innovative concepts.
- Systems Engineering:
- Provide technical depth in systems engineering, ensuring the seamless integration of complex systems.
- Test Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive test plans and execute testing procedures to validate the performance of military systems.
- Space Systems Engineering:
- Apply expertise in space systems engineering to contribute to the advancement of military space applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, applied math, physics or related field (advanced degree(s) preferred).
- 5-10 years’ experience in multi-disciplined engineering
- S. citizen (Active SECRET clearance preferred)
- Proficient in implementing software models and simulations in a programming language (MATLAB, Python, C++, or other programming languages)
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to approach challenges with innovation.
- Excellent communication skills, both in technical writing and verbal presentations.
- Demonstrated collaborative and teamwork abilities.
